Connect documents to the ordered product
Record the legal parties, exact model, quantity, electrical configuration, accessories, branding and packaging in the purchase documents. Keep model codes consistent across invoice, packing list, labels and evidence requests.
Resolve discrepancies before shipment rather than assuming customs or customers will interpret them the same way.
Separate transaction and product evidence
Commercial invoice, packing list and transport records serve different purposes from test reports, declarations or certificates. Ask which product evidence names the ordered model and configuration.
The importer remains responsible for confirming current destination-market requirements with appropriate professionals.
- Commercial and packing records
- Transport and origin records where applicable
- Model-specific product evidence
- Labels and instructions
- Importer review record
Create a pre-shipment gaps review
Before release, compare the document set with the order, destination market and shipping arrangement. Mark missing or inconsistent items for owner action rather than recording them as passed.
PCS can provide the published model evidence available for review, subject to transaction confirmation.
